I had gotten a wii for Brawl but I regretted it a year later. It was the only game I really enjoyed on there and even then everyone stopped playing it to go back to melee. I won't be getting the new one. Nobody I know has a Wii U but I am sure a few will get one when brawl comes out and I will just play at their house. If there is anything stupid like random tripping in it again then I won't even touch the game.

Melee was the Smash Bros game I played the eff out of, I played with family/friends, always had a good time.
Never wanted a Wii, but played Brawl several times at a friends house, it was fun, but nothing really exciting for me.
I do plan on getting a Wii U for Smash Bros, and Pikmin 3, that's about it. Lol.
However, I can say I'm enjoying All-Stars a lot, and would be more interested in a sequel for All-Stars than SSB.
If/when I get a Wii U, it will be specifically because of SSB4, and it will depend on how the game is. I'll probably play it before I decide that, unless from everything I can see it looks very very good. I have high expectations for the online portion of the game, and if they are not met, I will not buy a Wii U, simple as that.
