This would kill certain characters. Not every character in this game is made to get ap burst combos...

Yeah, this game could definitely benefit from a system like Brawl's Stale Move Negation. Would make fights more entertaining and would really reward players who master their entire character instead of just one or 2 moves.

I think it should only apply to attacks that cause hitstun, though. Things like Dante's Guns or Kratos' Bow shouldn't be counted.

I main Kratos, and I agree that moves that are spammed like hitstuns and projectiles should have some form of limiter on them after a certain amount of uses. I'm not bad in the game, it just doesn't take any skill at all to do the same move throughout an entire match. Make it so that players will have to mix it up to keep things interesting. A deminishing return algorithm that will go down to -10 will do just fine since it'll show people that spamming the same move over and over makes it so that the game isn't fun to play, and they will gain less and less super until it eventually makes them lose what they've gotten.

Not every character is made for ap burst combos, but every character does have combos. Learn how to do them and actually gain some skill.

This is a fighting game, not a stand in one spot and do one attack and run away when someone attacks you game.

I main Kratos, but I don't spam. I actually use his combos. My fave is down+circle, down+square, up+square (hold), forward+triangle (mash) it's not in his combo trial, but it throws in a little bit of everything and gives decent ap. Not everyone that use Kratos spams his forward+square jump up+square. That doesn't take any skill either.

It doesnt matter if you spam or not, kratos is by far the easiest character in this game to beat to "spammers" or to beat anybody.

So I'm a bad player because I take a character and mix his moves together to create a decent combo instead of being as cheap as possible. Where is the logic in this?

i spam the hell out of each character just to **bleep** people off. i dont care about dimishing ap gains. i would still spam just to **bleep** people off or have them ragequit.

His counter counters projectiles and attacks? How would these "spammers" give you any trouble? Also this system would ruin characters that need to zone a lot of their match, like radec, sackboy, and emmet.

Both your initial idea and the ap diminish are bad no offense look at a character like Jak he has slow ap gain, and yes he has combos but the ones that are in videos with good so gain good luck doing those in a match he really has no other option but to use his strong moves a lot. Putting something like this in the game would screw a character like him and make others considerably worse.
