I don't get why people still try this to be honest, unless I'm missing something. The startup time is a tad slow considering the short range it has, E. Cole is left wide open for a Radec/Spike/Dante(Maybe? I haven't tried this one) Level 2 to steal your kills and get you (the same reason why people argue that Ratchet's L1 isn't that good), and very rarely do players (that I've seen) conveniently bunch up for 3 kills, at least once they see that E. Cole has a 2.
The random AP drop is ok, I guess, but imo it's nothing to go crazy over.
...and both his 1 and 3 are more than usable.
Funny story, I was playing as Spike recently and everyone is bunched up. I hit R2 for my level 1 and immediately after, FEEL THAT POWER BABY. Except, I got a triple kill. Before he could trap anyone in his L2. With the fairly slow wind-up time net.
Am I the only one that feels this way? I still see E. Cole's going for a Level 2 almost every time I face one! Feel free to prove me wrong, because I'd like to know what these players are thinking.
"The Dirty Casual"
It's good for getting people against the wall- preferably someone knocked down, on somewhat small platforms, or dropping down on you from the sky. For the record though, pretty sure Radec can cut through it with a level 1, though I've not seen it. It's not quite instant so people will tend to roll out of it even if bunched up.
Also last I saw it it only works correctly about 1/2 the time anyway. I'll get caught in it, shudder for a second, fall to the ground and glow red for the rest of the match. Happened more often than not yesterday. Either that or Spike has an odd way of going Super Saiyan.
