It happened with LBP Vita. Don't know where you heard that from but it's likely untrue
All I heard was that Sony doesn't care if their first-party titles break the street date.
With LBP Vita, Tarsier Studios gave GameStop the go ahead. Sony/Superbot probably won't.
I doubt the devs have any say in that matter. The publishers are probably the ones who gave the OK, and in this case it's Sony.
No. This is not the case (I work at Gamestop). It's "Street Dated" in our system meaning we can NOT under any circumstance sell that game before then without paying a reallllllly big fee. Sorry
LBP vita was a very unique case. No one really knows why they did it but PSASBR is Sonys biggest release this year so dont count on it
and its still a mystery to this day *waves fingers around spookily* they say at night you can see the sackboy rolling on the world breaking free from release dates everywhere
I'll double check tomorrow, and if for whatever reason they removed the Street Date expect it in the Thursday or Friday before hand.
Only a few days early? IIRC LBP was sold like 2 weeks early at Gamestop.
