Why interrupt it when you can avoid it relatively easy? He only has a few confirms and most of them are easy to predict and/or situational.

The fact that he can toss it out safely without being interrupted is reason enough as to why people don't 'just avoid it'. It's true that it's very avoidable, but any decent Sly user isn't going to do it in a situation where you're going to get out of the way easily. Actually, even noobs use it pretty effectively. Also since being invisible rockets your chances of a succesful kill with it as well as using his broken counter, it's not like EVERY situation can be classified under 'situational'. It's an easy kill, let's leave it at that. Simply avoiding it isn't always easy, and if you do avoid it, his ability to build back his AP is good enough that you'll be dead sooner or later regardless of your effortless avoidance capabilities.

People use the justification that "well, since Sly can't block, his Lv 1 SHOULD be brokenly good". That's horse **bleep**.

Sly's level 1 has the same likely hood as a 2 to be cancelled by a regular attack. So I guess SB didn't want him to be a bit OP, they went all in.

Agreed. I think they definitely overcompensated for Sly's inability to block. He's been really broken since the beta.

Level 2s can't be cancelled by a normal attack, only a super. What I find wrong with him is that he has 3 different types of parrys, not a broken lvl1.

His level 1 is good, but you can see it coming a mile away. I can't be the only one who can roll through or simply double jump over Murray? I'm pretty sure he can't even combo into it, otherwise maybe this argument will hold some validity.

@Fat_Slapper what do you mean by 3 different types of parrys?

Incorrect, level 2s can be cancelled by an attack but only in a very short frame of time, like Sly's.

I THINK he means the counter that neutral circle does, I'm assuming there is more than one way to attack when the counter hits.

Teleport, his barrel, and his parry, on top of his invisibility. One of those could be tweaked rather than his just good level 1.

And no, ive never ever seen a level 2 cancelled by a normal attack. Please, prove me wrong.

I love it how because murray spawns behind sly, a frontal charge with BD results in instant death. Regardless if you hit the sly first, you still die.
