The action you are referring to is a "parry". Pick Kratos, Dante, Nariko, Raiden.......problem solved "drops mic"

Have you played the Beta ? its about getting AP yourself. in only 3 minutes is every second you block a wasted on.
Its all attacking.

I've been playing the beta, and it feels to me in my experience that it's just as important to prevent the enemy from getting AP as it is to get my own, so *block to stop their attack then follow through with my own juggle*, that kind of thing, seems alright to me Smiley Happy

in super smash bros, the second you block (within the right amount of frames) you perform a perfect block and in Street Fighter 3rd strike you can perform a parry... both these things give you "frame advantage" meaning you get a free hit, and this game has a pretty epic combo system =D

Also "perfect Blocking" shouldn't get you meter because your going to be getting meter by countering/punishing, and in a competitve stand point the whole "getting meter by blocking argument" would force people to play more defensively, which will hurt the game, one of the selling points of this game to me is the fact that its more aggressive then smash is
