(Scenario) They will put tons of DLC, but nothing new for sequel

7 replies 252 views Edited Oct 25, 2012

Here's another thing I've thought of before that I want to bring up as a scenario. I put scenario in the title so no one gets confused and thinks they are really doing this. Basically you decided what will happen.

Scenario A: You decide that SB should put as many character and stage DLC as you want in the game. Seqel comes around and there are no new characters and stages because of the heavy demand you had for game1.

Scenario B: You want a lot of DLC but not as much as you know you could get. On a brighter note, in the games sequel you get new characters and stages you would have gotten before in the first game, but less 'extra' content in the sequel than Scenario A.

So which one to you bet on. Which one do you literally take a gamble on?

I'm gonna go with Scenario A Smiley Tongue Why? Well...I wouldnt mind that option the most simply. What about you all?

I would go with scenario A because right now I don't care about the sequel, I don't really have time to wait for new characters to come  out in the second game.

i want as much as i can in this game because the next one will most likely be on the ps4.  by the time the ps4 comes out i'm going to have to put my money more important things (all sorts of payments and such)

Thats one of the factors I'm thinking of. the sequel will probably be on ps4 like you said. Plus I rather them wait till at least the middle of the ps4's life cycle so they know more about the system. By that time I think another 3 years they can still acomplish more than their first 3 years right? Maybe they could use a few old resources and spif it up if called for.

There is no way they would run out of characters and stages they could use.

I want the first option because I want all that stuff now. I'll probably buy the sequel no matter what. I would prefer releasing more characters now and new game modes for the sequel. But i know they will save a lot for the sequel though so it sells better. I

Oh really? How many would you want that you both know and want? If they did make all these characters, would the support rolling into ps4 development? Can they have certain parts of their team focus on different things? See where I'm going here? I think overall choice A isnt bad but ya know..there's these little things I'm thinking about and that Im not sure of.

Making more characters instead of doing more research and development on other things.
