You how when fighting game sequels come out, and the developers usually mix up the rivalries so that they make more sense? Let's do that.
Simple rule: you must take the current roster and characters from your personal wish-list, then match them all up with their best-possible opponent for the ultimate dream-roster. No limits on roster-size or double-dipping, but your 3rd-party characters have to fight against a 1st-party character (which has been the convention used so far).
Match-ups for characters currently on the roster
Match-ups for new and current 1st-Party characters
Match-ups for current 1st-Party against new 3rd-Party
Match-ups for current 3rd-Party against new 1st-Party
New Match-ups, 1st-Party Only:
New Match-ups, 1st-Party against 3rd-Party:
And there we have 64 characters with plenty of double-dipping. You're allowed to go crazy here.

I like the rivalries as they are now, and I probably wouldn't change anything. But since we are talking third parties I'll do it anyway lol
Already in the roster:
Kratos vs. Nariko
Sackboy vs. Toro
Cole vs. Evil Cole
Isaac vs. Emmett
[New] Dante vs. Raiden
Current and new 1st party:
Radec vs. Chimera/Nathan Hale
Sir Dan vs. Abe
Current and new 3rd party:
Heihachi vs. Kazuma Kiryu
Big Daddy vs. Nemesis
Current 1st party against new 3rd party:
Nathan Drake vs. Lara Croft
Sly Cooper vs. Big Boss
Kat vs. Yu Narukami
Zeus vs. The King of All Cosmos
Sweet Tooth vs. Pyramid Head
Crash vs. Spyro [obviously]
Cloud vs. Wander
Dart vs. Ezio
[Classic] Dante vs. Asura
Ty vs. Klonoa
Booker and Elizabeth vs. Gabe Logan
Jetstream Sam vs. Vergil [man, I wish]

Alright, I guess there's no way around it: time to include completely new sets of rivals (though that kind of makes this a dream-roster thread).
Time to update the OP from 36 characters to over 60.

Now see, that's not entirely true. Good Cole isn't going to just give the fight because he knows what's at stake.
He's not fighting just for him, he's fighting for humanity.
And if Trish was still alive, would he still make that choice from Infamous again?
