Also comparing this game to smash bros is like comparing Call of Duty to Team Fortress 2, just because they fall under the category of 4 Player Brawler doesn't mean you play the game fundmentally the same, play the same or have the same metagame. I'm a regular smash player and can tell you trying to play the game like it's smash bros will get you completely stomped on by even the most inexperienced of players.
Practice is key.
and people stop being in denial this game plays similar to smash bros, its not a knockoff but it plays very very similar, stop lying to yourselves.

With a game like this people expect it to be high profile. The game will either meet people's expectations or fail miserably. Like a movie based off a best selling novel, people come in with preconceptions on what they want to see. If it's what you wanted, you love it. If it's missing things, you feel cheated. That's the nature of it all. Some people will love it, some will hate it. I love it and feel like it's more than worth the games I traded in for store credit (Madden 10 and 11, mw2 and 3, bf3, and that stupid zombie game where it's like the X Games with zombies)
that's why everyone should have low expectations,
for everything, be it games, movies, or tv series,
hyping it up for yourself would only come back to bite you in the **bleep**...
