Reasons why many of us did not want Zeus at all.

51 replies 615 views Edited Feb 27, 2013

#1 He maybe another so-called OP like his in game rival (Kratos).

#2 We didn't want another character from an exsiting series (ignoring the Cole thing). I think the one character per IP thing was ok since Playstation has over thousands to choose from by filling up their roster spots.

#3 We all have a fear this game will be swallowed up by God of War due to it being handled by Santa Monica. There are about five GoW minions already. It's more coming, I can sense it.

If there's more, please fill in.

What's funny is that I bet Santa Monica feels proud of these "original characters" they "created"

No, Santa Monica. You didn't create Greek mythology. You just used it for a video game.

Well, a new minion, new backgrounds and icons for Zeus...

So there is going to be more GoW stuff in this game, which sucks, because other franchises are ignored.

#2 bugs me the most. Sony has other 1st person characters, who are not represented yet. And then there are 3rd party developers, who want their character in this game, like Abe or Ty for example. So why would they put Zeus over all those other characters, who are actually wanted by the fans?

Development time wasted, it should of been used for making new balance patches

1. We already have God of War represented so well in this game by Kratos the main character, 2 stages and 3 items.

2. Zeus takes up a precious DLC spot that should have gone to a more deserving character.

3. Quality over quantity - YES getting more characters is fantastic but that doesn't mean it should be the "easiest" to just drop in the game.

I respect whoever (Superbot or SSM) for developing the game but they are NOT in any way shape or form listening to the fans.
AT ALL.

NOBODY freaking wanted Zeus, he wasn't even in the top 100 most requested characters (there is a list even).

I wanted Zeus for the sequel. But now I'm getting to play him early. Which is great because a sequel might not even happen.

Rather have Zeus than Issac to be honest, there's already too many 3rd party characters for a game that has PLAYSTATION all over it.
