So the point of non cutscene supers was that you could get more than 3 kills right? If you were good enough, you could get double maybe even more in freakishly good plays. While cutscene level 3s give you 3 GUARANTEED kills. But Raiden's level 3 is one of the ones you have to work for, the problem being that when people respawn, they're not in boxes, and as far as I've seen, no longer killable. Does this not give Raiden a major disadvantage when it comes to his Level 3? Not only are there empty boxes, but respawned characters cannot be defeated.
Sackboy also has this issue, but at least with sackboy you can get maasive amounts of other stuff besides kills (AP and items)

Exactly what feldspar said.
Every character seems to have these weaknesses when you examine their parts seperately, but when you look at the other supers, their combos, ap gain, and etc, it is all pretty balanced
As far as raiden's lvl 3 goes, i think it will still be possible to kill people after they respawn, given you have the time, but it will be way harder

is it possible that the guy just respawned so was that kind of invincible for a few seconds?

its pretty balance when u think about it he gains AP fast allowing him to do consistant specials on players.

wouldnt it be cool if the players respawned in the boxes that were empty to start that he didn't slash open, so the max would be 6, but for that he would have to guess the first three correctly the first time?

i think, his lvl 3 super gives him enough time to do enough dmg. Yet lvl 3 supers are more of gimmicks than actual for competetiv play, i think.
In a 1on1 or a 2on2, you will use ur 3's just in the worst cases.
