Its for a look or story significance. It's hard to say, why does kratos have to be in the center? Cole is using the same center faced stande pretty much. Who knows
An N4G user has helped cue up discussion on the Roster size. "If it was rumored that there was still 12 characters left by crossing off Kat and possibly Ico that takes us down to 10. Add to the fact that you still have characters like Crash, Spyro, Gabe Logan, Tombi, Snake, a Resistance character and a FF character for example theres still 3 characters left." said a user by the name of Carl_Shocker.
My reply to him was as follows: Most people think that there are only 4 more. 10-12 and they would have to extend the character box on the site (which can be easily done, so maybe they didn't want to make it too obvious). Paul Gale said there would be 3 female characters if I'm not mistaken.
If Ico is in then as you said, that's 2 down. Going by the article, we could cross off 3. That means that center gap isn't the only spot to hold characters because we have over 4! (Unless you think they could fit 5 in there,but Crash will likely move closer to the front since he is shorter than the middle row.
Kat, Ico, Crash, Chimera, FF rep. Thats 5, wouldnt they make it an even number? so that means there's at least 26 characters now =)
Hmm. 4-6 sounds right on the money. 10 more is a little bit pushing it, but it would be sweet nonet he less.
My top 4 to get in are
1) Kat
2) Cloud
3) Crash
4) Chimera Hybrid or Infected Nathan Hale
My next 2, if it is a 26 man roster would be
5) Wander
6) Third Party Surprise! (Connor, Snake, maybe Ryu)
