If left alone, Radec is a problem. That's why he chases you likely. However, he has tools that'll help him be effective at close to mid-range, just not many. Be patient and wait for your chance. Getting upset will cause the same mistakes on your part that you're hoping he makes. Drop some bombs, use your melee, shotgun, lighting bomb thing, and the quick spray to give yourself some breathing room. Don't forget to block and don't be impatient because you have to play defensive. People are going to hunt you if you play Radec. Show them why it's a bad idea. If they can't attack, they can't get much AP, and you aren't in danger of dying.
