@Laybackkid Bad matchups for Good Cole are definatly Evil Cole and possibly Ratchet and Fat Princess but still kinda hard to say.

Also I don't know about EC having no bad matchups. I again feel it's hard to tell, but I do think that Good Cole will eventually win that matchup, since he can set up combos and kill confirms safely from outside the punch range. He also has the better long range game and only really finds himself at a disadvantage when he's in the punch's range.

Also I would imagine Heihachi would give hime some trouble. He has a lot of safe moves, can easily get through the projectiles to get into close range and his getup moves have invincibility which hinders all tech chases against the guy. Maybe Toro, FP and Drake as well, but I'm not so sure about those. I can definitely tell you that Big Daddy has trouble in that MU, but it didn't feel half as bad with FP (I lost, but that was mostly due to my being outplayed).



I'd like us to give it a bit of time before claiming he has no bad matchups (Remember when people claimed Raiden had no bad MUs?).

Hmmm... this is interesting information. I'd like to thank you guys for actually taking your time to explain to me who you think is the best character and not taking this as a joke thread. It means a lot.

So what I'm hearing is... at its early stages, EC could be the best? But in sometime in the near future as the game progresses that could change? Like I see FP or FC rivaling EC. I also think that if someone actually masters GCs arsenal to where every move is like 2nd nature (projectile absorption, ice barrier, etc) he could be a force as #1, but right now he's top 3?

GC probably does have some of the best combo potential/starters being able to start off of his glacier, ice ball, tether grab, amp drop, electric slide, and maybe even the arc explosive he throws if it sticks to the opponent and you time the explosion just right with a tether grab.

Hard to say to be honest, but I really hope that as the metagame improves lower tier characters are found to have good matchups with some of the higher tiers to give them a reason to be used.

Yeah. I think this game is way more balanced than SSBB already as the character choices in tournaments are way more diverse. I think there would be a place for almost every character in a tournament, which is great bews

EC or FP. I can't think of any bad matchups EC has, while FP might have 1 or 2 however (1 being EC).

EC: EC's giga punch is one of the easiest and most reliable 100% hit confirms in the game, and he has a lot of great range moves on top of the fact he isn't bad at all in close range either. Very dangerous character.

FP: Her knights.. These things create the most ridiculous combos that are impossible to get out of once they start. She is the only character that can attack you twice at the same time, and this helps tremendously. If you know what you're doing, once you have about 40 AP and you start a combo, you can kill someone at the end of the combo. On top of that her level 1 AND level 2 both have good, reliable 100% hit confirms, and her level 2 can kill you twice if you aren't careful.
