But how do you now were not evil

Because the term 'neccesarily' varies from person to person. Its subjective.

I really only jumped into the thread because this forum loves to misquote, and the title tipped me off. So I'll just bow out now; interesting theory though, I can't say I haven't thought of it a few times before.

I doubt that the character is us.

Also, let's get something straight. Omar never said the Final Boss would be specifically from Playstation 1.

At the EVO 2012 Panel he was asked whether or not they would draw it from one single game, or do something more general, but then said players would have to see where they ended up. SOURCE: http://www.ign.com/wikis/playstation-all-stars-battle-royale/Game_Modes

He also said that if you are a Playstation [Not necessarily Playstation Oneˆ] fan, then their choice for the final boss would make a lot of sense.

Does this mean the final boss won't be from the PS1? No--but it means that people should stop swearing that the final boss hails from a PS1 game like it's the set truth. What we do know is that it makes sense to the Playstation brand and that he is more of a 'mastermind' than an evil guy.

I never referenced the EVO interview as the source of the whole PS1 boss thing - it was said to be instantly recognisable to PS1 gamers in the OPM.

More than 20 characters could be referring to the 40+ characters of minions, supers, and background hazard characters like Hades, Carmella, and Negitivitron.

There are a TON of Playstation characters in this game with plenty to spare for a sequel.

It's kind of a bummer that only 20 of them are fighters, but oh well. Solid roster anyway.

This is an ambiguous text; basically, every single one of our speculations would be incorrect.

Polygon Man is an evil entity. He is not a hero. He is not even a villain. What he is, though, is, by all terms of the word, EVIL.

Nefarious? The name alone should spell out the guy is evil.

Baron Praxis? Anyone can tell you Jak II he was evil.

Negativatron? He is created through our bad emotion.

And then I realized something.

What if; now just hear me out, because this will sound absolutely crazy.

What if 'WE' are the final boss?

And by we I mean each and every single one of us.

When he said that it will be something that all Playstation fans will recognize, he may be alluring to the fact that, inexplicably, we are fighting ourselves; a warped version of ourselves obviously as there's no way to actually put us in the game (not everyone logs into PS Home and all).

Obviously there has to be some reason to register 'us' as a final boss, so here's my view;

The villain is, basically, you. You are gathering villains from all over the known Playstationverse, to combat the heroes. And, you, just as much, are trying to save the multiverse, getting characters from various franchises to do battle for you.

In the end the villain would be an evil twin, of yourself. You are not evil, not neccesarily, but the person that they are portraying would be you.

How would you feel?
