And that's why it won't happen. It's not commercially likeable to do something like this.

This is probably why the "Mii War" kinda thing was scrapped off.

There's one little plot hole in this...

What if Hitler comes back alive and plays this game?

Then the final boss then is evil

'isn't neccesarily' is a pretty large term. Its like when he says '20+'. Is it actually 20 characters or 20 more characters? We don't know. We can't make that assumption. 20 exact at launch and post-year for DLC is the most likely solution.

Sony isn't exactly big in the public opinion right now. With its constant lies about the Anonymous hack, as well as several after-then problems, they'd have to pull something big, something controversial to really get back in the eye. I believe that's exactly why they're hyping the 23rd trailer. They'll go back into the main bar room, and all of the portraits on the walls will have disappeared.

(on mobile, can't quote)
@Rex: I mean, the putting yourself in the game thing has been done before. Many times. In every game, it's assumed that you are the higher being (or god) in that world unless it's says otherwise. You control the character and what they do, or in Patapon where they worship you, they fight for you. Or in Tearaway, the upcoming game for the Vita, you can control the world the character is in.

It could make sense that us, the player, had something to do with why everyone is grouped together in the game. Omar did say the boss is a "he" and not every person playing is a guy but "he" can be used for just any person so it can be any player. But there's always the chance it's not us since this is all a theory, and a pretty good one but I don't really like the established thought of me, the player, being the reason why the characters have to be in a world they don't want to be in and have to fight to get out of there.

I believe he said the boss wasn't NECESSARILY evil, Marrow. Leaving doors open, not confirming anything, blah blah, the usual thing.

That is an interesting theory, and Omar did say at the EB Expo interview when he was being interviewed and asked about the story he said that there is an evil mastermind but then he went back and said "Well not exactly evil."
