IMO, it's the slowness of the bubbles that is the OP part about it. At least with sweet tooth or nariko's ult you can try to dodge it.

I guess. But its pretty hard to dodge nariko on the small levels. And its a lot easier to dodge sackboy on the bigger maps.

Sackboy's level 3 should definitely nerfed a bit, its nearly impossible to avoid him in those bubbles. The bubble movement speed should be faster or there should be no respawning in the bubbles so you have a chance to dodge.

Can we nerf that duration a bit too then? XD

I just don't like the idea of instantly losing a stock match to one super, especially if that becomes the tournament game mode like in Smash.

^how about just a disable to level 3's in stock match. Or a shortened of it on stock match. Or just don't play stock match.

The last one could work, or there was a tournament in Canada that used 4 stocks, but disabling level 3s hurts some characters a lot (Looking at you Nariko!).

Nonetheless, sackboy needs a nerf. I think they shouldn't put you back I'm bubbles after the first deaths

Sackboy is one of the few characters that require only 600 AP to get to Level 3 (majority cost 750 AP). Both his Cakeinator and Jam Session net him 25 AP per hit, and that's without the Air Shooter bonus (I think +7 AP?)

 

So in order to do his Level 3, he only has to hit you 24 times before he can activate it, not including other traps and bonuses. And since the cake stays out for awhile and the Jam bounces a bit (not much) this is usually EASILY achieved in FFA matches. An added touch for 2v2 (or just team matches) is that your partner can hit a character bubble to stun them so that they can't move momentarily.

 

I say if anything is going to be changed in Sackboy, for the Level 3 being so powerful you can either:

 

  • - Make it so that his Level 3 costs 750 AP like most of the cast.
  •  
  • - Make the duration of the Level 3 last about 1 second shorter.
  •  
  • - Don't automatically force opponents to the ground when the Level 3 is activated.
  •  
  • - Have the bubbles move SLIGHTLY faster, since it's very rarely but still possible to trick a sackboy in jumping in a different direction.

Any of those (or a combination) would greatly improve the balance.
PS: Let's not forget that Sackboy also gets AP from the bubbles, so he already has a headstart getting his next super. And if you're playing with items enabled he can come out of his level 3 with a huge advantage.

I don't mind sack boys too much it's kratos that bothers me. He can literally stand in the middle of the map and fire homing shots to one hit kill people. at least sack boy has to run around.
