I'd vouch for that idea. It would definitely make moves like Radec's Flamethrower and Sweet Tooth's Molotov more useful.

I would not put it on Big Daddy's incinerate since it gets used in combos. If you do put it, then only do it on the fully charged version, but even that can be comboed into and could make BD a bit too strong.


Keep in mind that this effect would be the only non-grab way to steal AP if you have items off to my knowledge (Well, except for a few supers).

Good point. Maybe it could just generate AP for the user in the way it does currently (i.e standing in the molotov or dragon potion).

 

Which would work better, AP-draining or AP-generation?

I personally prefer AP-drain, but it would have to be really well implemented and CANNOT be put on easy combo moves.

Honestly, I think giving it to just Flamethrower and molotov would work (Gives an incentive to hit with the bottle/avoid getting hit by the bottle).

It certainly wouldn't be that usable in combos for Sir Dan if the opponent had to stand in the fire for 2.5 seconds to be set on fire. I really do think he deserves something to annoy with. I was also thinking Radec could ignite after an opponent has been hit at least 2 times by his flamethrower (the thing strikes for about 6 shots total).

 

And wow, 19 kudos in one day. Looks like this idea spread like wildfire.

True, but Dan's fire actually gets decent AP, and grabbing them while they stand in it keeps them in it for significantly longer.

Well I don't really see a problem with that, but if you play Sir Dan more than me, I'll concede the point (I have him at a measly LV 78 iirc).

 

So does 2 hits from Radec's flamethrower sound like a good threshold for igniting people? Or is that too small? I played him a lot in the beta, and people tended to not pay attention when he was using it while dropping into crowds.

Honestly as long as it's more than one tick (AKA actually have to commit to the move), I'd say it's fair, but then this would be an idea that would need to actually be playtested.

I would love me some fire. As Sweet Tooth I'd have reason to use firebreath. And the moltov and flame saw would be more worthwhile.
