Oh, and from the moment Ares was revealed to be the antagonist of the first GoW, it was already inaccurate to the myths. Ares is the joke among the Olympians. None of the gods take him seriously because of his cowardly nature.

The game is loosely based. But that doesn't mean Zeus was this caring and almighty being, who was just twisted for god of war.

The only Olympian that was a good guy is Hestia. They all had flaws except for her. Her only problem is she didn't do much to contribute to the stories. The only Olympian that really leaned on the bad side is Hera. Any instance where Hades is a monster or a bad guy is just western media saying "a god related to death? Oh, he has to be the bad guy" but he's one of the more reasonable ones since death wasn't seen as an evil thing way back then.

Zeus isn't power hungry in mythology. Aside from Apollo, they all have flat personalities. What defined Zeus is him being a womanizer. Nothing more or less.

Zeus leaned on the bad side, he killed innocent people, **bleep**ed any girl he wanted and was power hungry. Sounds kinda like a tyrant to me

Once you get to college, take a couple courses in classics where you read direct translations of texts. The mythology books that get tossed around in bookstores are off. The only direct sources massed produced are Homer's Odyssey and Iliad but they don't really say much about the gods. You need to read Pindar and other painful stuff.
