PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is a curious bird, Sony's own stab at the formula of Nintendo's cross-over punch frenzy Super Smash Bros. series. PlayStationeers will get to try it for themselves from tomorrow, when the multiplayer open beta launches for everyone on Vita and PS Plus members on PS3. It'll open up to everyone else on PS3 next week, on October 23.
A PlayStation.Blog post explains that the beta packs two stages, Metropolis and Hades, and six fighters, Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa, and Fat Princess. It'll support online four-player free-for-all and 2v2 tournaments.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale launches for PS3 and Vita on November 20.
