Is Grabbing too Easy? What's your opinion?(NOT a complaint thread)

15 replies 274 views Edited Dec 13, 2012

Here's the breakdown:

You can grab someone while taking damage.

you can grab through an attack.

You can grab someone while they're rolling.

^

all of the above allows grab happy players to turn the match into a game of cat and mouse

Grabbing is fast and has almost no recovery time allowing it to be spamed.

The small risk of using the grab offers a high reward

So......is it too easy? Tell me what you think.

Not really. Grabs have kinda a (usually) short range, thus needing you to be at point-blank IMO.

Not to mention they are interrupt-able if attacked by another opponent.

Yes. WAY to easy! You have no idea how much I hate getting grabbed while dodge rolling. It ticks me off. >__>

I dont think grabbing is too easy but you should not be able to grab a dodge roll it's kinda dumb..seeing as a certain character can grab infinite..

It may be because of lag, but i have been able to grab someone through an attack most of the time. There are few a exceptions but based on my experience, grabs aren't all that  interuptable.

I agree with blondewolf. Grabs shouldn't work on someone who is dodge rolling. Just doesn't make much sense in general.

Overall I would its 50/50 for me sometimes someone can't grab me to Dave their life, other times they do it at will no matter how I try to escape. Also I agree you should be able to get grabbed during a role it defeats the supposed "invincibility" during it you are supposed to have.
