I think you may have gleaned something incorrect from that interview. They are surely sending beta invites out still. Chan Park said that himself.

I always love these interviews, whenever a good question comes up, it's a "no comment/please stay tuned" response. I don't BLAME them for it of course, no one's going to spoil their own product. But still.....

The good thing is that we won't have to download updates and patches because they have a system that does it without having to install it

I don't think you can avoid downloading patches for things as new charatcers, stages, but for things as how much damage a certain attack does, I think that wouldn't be patch requireing (is that even a word ;D)
