Okay maybe not. But it's pretty simple just be available more to the community if you want to improve the community. Do anything to get the community more involved. Create official ladders 1v1 2v2 ffa here for people to join that isn't going to just die in a week or so. Create a competitive scene for people who wants to participate in. Silly little things like have user submitted contest such as send in videos of online game play or screenshots. If this board is active as you say it is then use it to your advantage. When the patch goes live have like a week of fun stuff or contests for the launch.
Even the most simple thing such as getting new people aware that this board and community exist will help. I'm sure people will be excited to see new faces around here than the usual 10 faces and their alts.
Advertise and promote the game more with whatever tools that are available (Twitter, Instagram, facebook, YouTube, other boards on here) whatever you can do with social media. Getting more and more new players to play this game will bring a whole new life back to the online match making aspect and will help improve the community.
We all understand that you can't always be here but you can easily appoint official volunteers within the community to help you. There just needs to be consistency and time put in either by you or whoever instead of keeping everyone in the dark and coming out to us every few months.
All in all just some ideas for you and thanks Tank for still sticking around and not disappearing on us.
Each time a person loses in rank dead last dont make them lose so much points . if you could when a character reaches 999 overtime is unlock in story mode for that character it could be a new story for them or a harder battle with cpu whic means one new cpu level for the rival.if they win they can get the polygon costume for that character if they did it with all the character they can get the polygon stage. also the gravyard stage should have a stage hazarid . the beam from the stage should also hite character if there on the target but it will still make the energy balls pop out .new items.we can chose our back ground for the menu screen and chose the music too.
FYI: This isn't a request, more so of a question.
I know it's too late for this to be implemented "in the patch"... but Tank you said y'all looked into a 1v1 mode for the game. I forget what the issues were with the idea being dropped, but was the alternative looked into, which would be adding an option in Versus Mode that allows the host to invite players through typing their PSN names? ATM, my memory is vague on what games did this, but I've played a few games that had the invite mechanic featuring inviting friends and randoms by typing in their PSN name. This is a sufficient & the best alternate to an actual 1v1 mode.
