he is 12, him and his 2 older bros pre ordered cod, but I am trying to convince them to get psas. I think they might, they were shocked that I am prob not getting cod because I am so good at it. But my other cousins will come over and play PSAS on launch day I believe, they are much older and actually understand that there is just more than cod.

COD literally has a fanbase full of 11 year olds.

**bleep** call of duty haters. The game sells well for a reason. Its fun, accessible, and makes a solid game every year. Stop jumping on bandwagons. I'm getting the new one because hell, i like shooting my friends in splitscreen.
Battlefield 3 was sooo much better, but who cares.. I get them both and enjoy them both. Why bother choosing sides?!

No one's a hater, it's just that CoD is, like you said, accessible, meaning simple, easy to grasp, pretty straight forward, takes little time to play a match or two; thus it fits the definition of a more casual gamer, thus it appeals to a larger audience, thus it sells more than a deeper game, thus you end up with a larger, younger play group, even as young as 11.
PSASBR is more "easter-eggy-fanboyish" thus it will have a smaller following comprised of older, more mature (despite this odd forum community), more opened minded individuals looking for more from their games.
