Re: I can't seem to resist the teabagging

[ Edited ]
Dec 17, 2012

I used to be indifferent to "teabagging," but after playing a few frustrating 2v2 matches where a Level 999 Sir Dan abused the massive AP gain from blocking and did it during his Level 3, I can say it's genuinely annoying to the other player.  It comes off as rude.

EDIT:  Actually, arrownoir is right.  It DOES get in my head and make me angrier.  But even though there's no stopping it, I feel that shouldn't even be a factor to worry about in a game such as this.

The only thing that gets in my head is that that player is pathetic. I don't chase them, I don't go after them. It saddens me to see stupid **bleep** like this in games.

I just taunt. Tea bagging is just dumb. Taunts look better and they are usually funnier. I only taunt if I'm taunted, so I don't go out of my way to be a jerk. I respect my opponents.

The fact that so many people are bothered by it and even chiming in here to speak against it makes it COMPLETELY worthwhile. :smileyhappy:

You may think it's just standing and crouching...but you know what it means. :smileywink:

I duck up and down not as a teabag though. It's just going up and down. It's faster than taunting and it becomes a habit after awhile so that's why I do it.

Never thought of it as tea bagging though just an alternative taunt.

Actually, there are some players (albeit not many) who take "teabagging" and taunting as a sign of unity because, unless they're 100% serious, no fun allowed, it can kind of break the mood of focusing so hard on the button combinations and the screen.

Whether or not you think this is actually funny is your personal choice, and impacts wether this mood change of the match is positive or negative.

Personally, I have done this before, but I only do it when my opponent and I are in a 1v1 and we are both standing still, not touching the controller, as if a way to say "I don't have all day, dude, let's go". Another way of doing this is twirling with left and right back and forth. I would never do it after a kill, that actually is rude imo.
