How Luck Based is FFA

16 replies 278 views Edited Feb 8, 2013

So I played 3 or 4 ffa games tonight where to guys won easily, we ended up 1v1'ing, and i murdered pretty much all of them. I won every game played either 3-0 or 3-1 except for when i used Nariko because i've just started practicing with her. Anyways that bodes the point, is FFA pretty much just luck?

its not, but it takes a lot less skill than 2v2.

100% luck at this point if you ask me. Especially in ranked where lag and all the other wonderful glitches totally ruin any chance of you having a fair match. Plus the obnoxious amount of Drake v Raiden v Kratos v You matches. No one has the balls to use any other character. I am in the top 500 in FFA and have been for multiple seasons, this one is complete trash with all the character spam and abuse its complete luck at this point whether you win or lose. Face people who try to combo and I win, face people who do random retarded stuff all game or spam and I tend to lose. I consider second a loss in this case fyi.

FFA is trash. Simple as that.

Pick Kratos, Raiden, Sly or Drake or you stand no chance against them.

They didn't even bother to set it to stock or kill limit, both more balanced than timed.

FFA is completely different strategically than 1v1 and 2v2. And once you throw in the different game modes it varies even more. For example, the only time I'll really go for Spike's Lv. 3 is in Stock FFA. It guarantees one death to each opponent, so why not?

Some folks (and characters) are just better in one game mode as opposed to others.

There's always the luck factor when playing FFA. You do a super aiming it at only one player and everyone get caught in it or for some reason two players just seem to go at you when someone else is getting their LVL 3 super.

Just play FFA like what it is... FFA! Do everything just to get the win lol

FFA does require skill ofc, but it also depends on who you're playing with. The thing I hate the most is when 1 person is being stupid and constantly being killed, adding to the opponet's score.

I mainly only play FFA though, as I don't really care for 1 v 1, and I usually never have a good partner for 2v2
