Opinion is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone sees a game how they want to. While you might like a game tons someone else might see the product in a dimmer view. Someone else may figure the rating is much too high on the 8.0 end, where someone who only felt the game to be "fair" might correlate with the 6.5. Heck, there might be an All-Stars player at the present or down the line who would stamp a 0.0 on the game if they could. You never know, as not everyone has the same mindset. Although you may be a fan of the game, you have to realize that not everyone else will see the game the same way.

I agree with you graygargoyle, but when a reviewer contradicts himself within the first minute of the review I begin to wonder if this person just wanted to find things to hate. You're right people will like this game, people will hate it, it's up to the person, and that's why i don't let reviews make my choice, but i like to see what everyone has to say and then go make my own judgement based on how i like it.

This game has weaknesses, but the ones given by the reviewer were pretty dumb. But that's his opinion.
I didn't buy this game to stare at the menus or to be engrossed in a rich story mode. The beauty of this game is the competetive combat, diverse characters from Sony, 4 player local and online, cross buy/save, free Vita version, and the return Sir goddamn Daniel Fortesque.
There's just way too much to love about this game.
