When I click start at the online tourney menu after selecting my character it freezes the game with audio still on. This happened in the beta after a couple weeks as well. What the hell.

Probably just traffic. Play single player for awhile.

this exact thing is happeneing to me right now. The online has been working fine for the past 4 days including earlier today so I'm hoping it's just a temporary issue.

so its definately not a temporary issue, its still not working like 3 days later. Getting ectremely annoyed now as I have seen no reply from superbot on the subject.

I haven't had any freezes online, but I have had one between matches during arcade mode. I beat the game with everyone, but during Cole, Evil Cole and Raiden's story it froze. You know the black screen after a match? It just stayed black. Music played but it just stayed black. So 3 times out of 20 isn't horrible.

Also happened after an offline versus game. So really four times in around 30 hours of gameplay.

Yep I've had this same issue since I've bought the game. Apparently Superbot doesn't care about all of their loyal customers

Or they're looking into how to fix it? I know, immediate fixes are realistic an all, though... (sarcasm)

Oh if they're looking into how to fix it, why not let us know?  One of the biggest selling points about this game was competent online play, which has yet to be delivered to some consumers.  A simple statement regarding that they are aware of the online issues would be great, but I have yet to see that.

It's happening to my brother too. Every time he connects to another person, the game locks up. He's on NAT 1. It's really annoying because I got this game to play with him while he's at university.

ALright so i finally fixed mine. All i did was while signed into psn and at the PSASBR main menu i unplugged my router. I left it off for a bit and then let it re boot. It worked after that. I guess the game thought i was already in a mtch and so i had to be  in the game when I disconnected to let the game know I was not in a match. Thats the only reason I can think of why this worked.
