zoning isn't spamming. When i play radec i try to take up as much space as possible. When i snipe from other side of room i always use my teslite nade throw in between shots just in case anyone tries to air dive me. A lot of times they get trapped for a easy shotgun or knife hit, even if i don't hit them it throws them off and gives me more time to react.
In this game zoning is spamming. There is no logic just fill up my aP gauge don't believe these liars. Radec is the only character that should benefit from zoning. But cole and evil cole are just downright cheap. Throw a bunch of stuff=win.
Zoning is a way to keep your opponent away from you untill they have to change there tactics.
People already used radec as an example, and he is a great example. Its used alot in almost every fighter, best example I can think of is Liu Kang in MK using his fireballs to keep someone from getting close.
This is most often accomplished with projectiles, but can also be accomplished by characters with a good disjoinct range, like Kratos in this game (Although it would be hard to keep people at tipper chain range with this game's mechanics), Asteroth in SCV or Ghost Rider in UMVC3 (Yes, I do know he's a **bleep** character, but he does exemplify the point I'm making). Most of the time though zoning characters tend to be ranged projectile characters since they are easier to balance than mid-range melee zoners.
