Well, when he uses it he isnt stealth anymore. his only stealth attacks are pretty much his neutral square and his pickpocket ability and thats alright but the neutral square isnt going to do much. All other abilities make him come out of stealth but he goes back in after the animation and recover time. You're not really using sly right if you're not using your stealth to full advantage. People who know my lvl 1 is ready and are jumping so much are a thorn in slys side cuz his lvl 1 is grounded and evading it isnt all that hard. And then the people who complain about the "I cant interrupt his lvl 1" there seems to be a very short amount of frames you can do it but then again its called "UNSTOPPABLE ally" for a reason.
I feel like going invisible doesn't help me at all unless I'm running away from a special or match is about to end. (Those slys who hide before using level 1 are very predictable, I always stay back a little from the fight if sly goes invisible)
And no, I didn't use the invis lvl1, for the record.
Heck I have been seeing more and more Sly's online, just like a certain burlap sack.
Well there are always going to be characters that are more used than others, so that's not really an indication of an issue just yet. If they find some legitimately unfair tactic that can't easily be worked around to most people (such as, y'know, looking at somebody who's "invisible") then go ahead and fix it. Sackboy wasn't nerfed because he was overused, he was nerfed (and overused, for that matter) because people found a way around SuperBot's intended strategy. Sly's been considered fair since the beta, and he's gotten less used and less spammed since then. If he was more spammed, I might hold more agreement with the recent "nerf Sly" campaign.
well i have to admit i don't use sly's invisibility ever, but that's cause i mostly play with my friends and the AI and, well, the AI knows where you're even if you are invicible, so i had to find another tactic and i works like a charm
