Do you realize how much strategy there will be?

8 replies 284 views Edited Oct 10, 2012

here is an example i made up
in regular fighters, or even smash bros, if player A is 3x as good as player B
then player A will die about 1 time for when player B dies 3 times

however in all stars, i could build up to my level one super 3 times, and miss all three

while the worse player could build up once, and hit with the level 1

there is your "random anyone can play" factor that you say smash bros has and this doesnt

im super excited for this!

Your right.

Its more than "oh I land super and I win"

You have to time the supers, figure out which one would be best for every scenario and most of all when the game comes out people will learn how to easily dodge supers so can't land a random super and hope it hits.

This game has alot of potential

the better player will always win in a 1v1 situation...

1) You can combo into a lot of supers
2) IF you build 3 times the meter your opponent does and still lose it ends up being completely ur fault
PSN : PsYkiiiK and also FroZiiiN.... PsYkiiiK is always on PSASBR HMU for some 1v1s

Lol it's curious because people here were using the fact that this game is more skill-based and the better player always wins to prove that it's bettere than Brawl where "random pitfalls" (as they say) occur.

yes i agree, but many complained that there was no "random fun element"
this if for free for all
1v1 is never "fun for everyone" as yes, the better player will win
but free for all, yes it will take a little more time to get the hang of it, but it still has the random element where "anyone can win"

I'm thinking the skill will come with which character or supers would dominate in a certain stage. I hate when I would do sweet tooths lvl3 and people would hide across the screen (it made me think don't use his lvl3 on that stage stick to 1&2) but then I realized you could jump across the screen in one leep which changed that! I'm excited to get good at lvl3s

If we're assuming the unskilled player doesn't use throws, dodging or know his moveset, then yes, the skilled player will win.

That's completely your fault if you can't beat someone worse than you.
