It means that you can only perform a long combo only in the specific way that the game lets you. You can't come up with your own cheap tactic for multiple hits; the game won't allow that.

You just said that one "Move" can have as many as 7 hits. So a 6 move combo would be 6 X 7 = 42 hits.

 

A combo that long (or anything higher) would let a character build up waay too much meter in a matter of seconds, therefore throwing balance out the window. I think the better question is why are you against this?

and just because a move like the bicycle kick hits multiple times doesn't mean it's like multiple moves, each hit will be puney

If u want a game where u can loop combos over and over again MvC they said they're not trying to recreat another games experince but deliver their own. Its just the way they want to do it.

yes for hundreds of hours with freinds when things get realy heated you can usualy see around 10 hit combos

I realy dont think you understand how this works

You will have to get all the hits within the animation for it to be anything at all

How do you know how "puny" each hit in one move will be? Only SuperBot knows that.

Im still a avid smash player actually. I think melee was one of the most unique and exciting fighters to date. However super bot said the game may have similarities but they are NOT trying to recreat it so, yea they're going to do quite a few things diferent.

I've played plenty of Smash. And you haven't once given a specific reason why this mechanic is so bad. Just arbitrary nonsense. I think it's you who doesn't understand.
