Nothing about him is very stylish in this game(unlike DmC which has very stylish attacks and combos)
He has two supers that should be attacks instead of supers, mainly talking about the stinger attack.
After playing DmC you can really tell they did not want to show off anything cool about him in PASBR.
If they make a sequel and put dante back in, he really needs to have things from his game, and not just the very first things you unlock.
What also bugs me is that in DmC he has 2 grappled and in this he doesn't have one. Not to mention its dumb that they wasted an attack move on his angel dash.
I realize its probably capcoms fault, because they didn't want to show off too much of the game before it was out, but if that's the case they should've just added him as DLC.
Yep, agreed. When I first saw his moveset, it seemed sufficient for someone from a Devil May Cry game (with the sword/guns and cancelling and all that). But now, after actually playing through DmC and seeing all the abilities like Angel Lift, Devil Pull, Eryx, Aquila, the Trillion Stabs, etc., you can tell how much was there that SuperBot didn't pull from.
Honestly, with all those abilities, Dante could have (and should have) been up there with Kat in terms of combo potential. Imagine stunning someone with Aquila, doing amazing air juggles with Orisis and the Devil Pull, and then finishing with an Eryx slam. They could have also implemented properties for his angel and devil weapons: angel weapons get more people at once while gaining less AP, while devil weapons focus more on one person while gaining more AP.
I appreciate that Dante's playstyle was left for more experienced players, but there's just so much more potential to be realized with it.
