Up-Back + Triangle, Forward + Circle, Neutral Circle.
If done correctly Dante will flash, flash, and then immediately land on the ground able to act.
To use is practically you perform any given cancelable attack and then perform the empty bold cancel. This allows you to link things you otherwise couldn't.
Combos without bold canceling:
For an Easy Bread and Butter use something like....
Square, Square, Square, Up + Square (hold), Square, Square, Up + Square, Square, Down + Square.
Combo into level 1:
The best, easiest method uses empty bold cancels.
Square, Square, Square, Empty bold cancel, Level 1.
The only other method I have found is to land the last hit of air forward + square, square, square on a grounded opponent. I have only landed this once in a match, though it is easy to land in practice mode (go figure, unmoving target).
Empty cancels occur when you press triangle or circle during an attack, it cancels the full attack animation, allowing you to fit in even more moves without having to wait entire animations through as other characters have to.

He's using a fight stick so the inputs are a bit odd, for you they'll
[[This second half happens in less than a second, quick fingers!]]
Upleft + Triangle (more up than left)
Upleft + Circle (more left than up)
Right + R2
When I say left or right, I mean Away or Towards, respectively.
Here are more combos using cancels; Three minute youtube clip.
Dante can gain more AP than anyone else through his combos, but as the video shows, they're **bleep** complicated, keep at it! In FFA you'll probably be cancelling into a parry a lot more than angel boosts, due to many people trying to stab you in the back while you're busy getting a combo off.
