Dante Buff Possibilities

Here's some possible buffs that he could use. You be the judge on if any of this would make him OP. If so then forget this list lol. He doesn't need ALL of this, but here's a few.

-More AP gain from his guns (this one doesn't bother me too much and isn't totally needed, but some will agree)

-Hit stun from his guns (this one seems more logical to me so that they can even be deemed viable as a standalone attack rather than solely a combo hooker)

-Less recovery time from his square attacks (he takes FOREVER to recover if he misses an attack. Possibly make his first three square attacks have less recovery time, but his finisher can stay the same)

-Having the ability to turn around mid-combo even if you miss the initial attack like Raiden or Kratos (this removes the bold cancel idea cause you have to hit someone in order to do any combos/cancels). To keep this from being OP, he can only finish his first combo and can't go into a cancel. For instance, you do square+square, then turn around and do the other square+square but you can't do a cancel (even if you land the crumple third square and turn around to hit the finisher on someone else, you won't have time to turn around again and start another combo on the crumpled opponent for an infinite).

Not all of these should be added to Dante, cause then he would most likely be OP. But if you had to choose from these buffs, which combination seems most logical? I honestly think he should get ONE of these buffs. And do NOT buff his AP gain in general, it's completely fine. The gun AP buff wouldn't really be OP cause they're almost useless. Let me know your thoughts.

He gains AP pretty darn fast- I don't think he needs a buff in any manner. He's not overpowered, nor is he under-powered.

He's fine the way he is.

They should just give his dash a few invicibility frames. That'd give him an actual approach to Kratos and ranged characters. Nothing else would need to be changed then.

The best buff of all is practice.

I like the idea of giving his dash a few invincibility frames, either that or a stun hit on his guns.

Now now guys, hes fine the way he is. We don't want to make him invincible now do we? I've heard many complain of a specific character being "underpowered" because the user sucks with them....

There's a difference between a character needing a buff, and the player, needing to get better at the game.

Okay, I was only curious what everyone thinks Smiley Happy and the angel dash invincibility frames seems pretty viable actually lol glad that was brought up.

@Thirty3Three
I understand. I love Dante but I don't want him OP. these aren't game breaking ideas, and the bigger ideas I had have restrictions on them so he wouldn't be completely unfair. I've been playing Dante for a while, and these were just done recurring thoughts. I doubt Superbot will touch Dante and that's fine. No biggie Smiley Happy

I thought he needed a buff too, but not anymore. Just practice. I added a few big combos to my arsenal that give you AP like nothing. No buff needed.
