PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

So I had a beta code, and then my PS3 got YLoD. It's fixed now, so I downloaded the beta.

And when I try it, all that happens is the screen goes black. Controller does nothing, so I have to just turn the machine off.

Anybody know why this is happening?

Can u play other games or does this just happen with psasbr beta?

It turns out the rabbit hole goes much deeper. Don't worry guys, I think my PS3 may not be as repaired as I thought.
