This was my question: "If I buy the Vita version of Playstation All Stars Battle Royale, will I get a digital PS3 copy as well? or does it only work if you buy a PS3 version?"

The following was an email response from Sony, print-screened:

"Thank you for contacting PlayStation®Technical Support. My name is Mike, and I will be more than happy to assist you today with your question about Cross-Buy. It does not matter which version you buy. If you buy the PlayStation®3 version of PlayStation® All-Stars Battle Royale you will be able to download the PS Vita™ version from the PlayStation®Store for free. And its the same with the PS Vita version, you will get a digital version of the PlayStation®3 version of the game."

I think this guy don't know. Vita version is $20 cheaper

I doubt this will turn out to be true, but I would be PSYCHED if it is.  PS3 games are fine in either format for me, but I prefer physical media on my Vita whenever possible.

Good luck when you can't download your ps3 version free. They'll lose a lot of money on this :\.

I a bit doubtful as well. I mean, they don't give you a code for the other version until u put it in a vita and it's tied to your account. So you have to have a vita under your name to get the ps3 version, if this is true. I did ask this question 72 hours before I got the answer
