Well, if you want I still have stuff to show you for Cole, and if you start doing this with every character, I have new stuff to show with BD too (Including a few level 1 combos/confirms/setups and some stupid resets.)

You can do air down triangle before air down square. Down square alone from a low height is a hitconfirm for both level 1 and 2.

Also most of these combos are really dependent on the other player. If he's a good player you won't be hitting him with those up triangle, up square and down circle so easily because you can actually air dodge them after the first. This applies too to these combos you do when you grab the bot with air side square when he's almost in the ground; if he's not a bot, he will dodge that or just jump-recover and avoid you to grab him at that position. You're not able to do most of these combos from the common height the ground side square + square square / triangle puts the enemy.

Side circle is very unreliable for hitconfirm. Again, this is not visible against a bot.

Flashy stuff. Not really handy though.

Actually Air Side square is pretty easy to land, as is side circle when mixed into a real match so long as you're not relying solely on those. For example, tech chasing with air side square is incredibly effective AND safe. It is also a safe way to attempt to punish whiffs or landing lag.

Side circle is actually really really spammable. I personally do air side triangle>Side circle against opponents trying to get in on me very often since it shuts down most of their approaches.

I find it funny how you mention air down square considering that's one of Cole's least safe moves (I pretty much only use it in combos or to punish rolls), and you can actually confirm every version of it (AKA from any height) into a super, although the amount of AP you can generate before the super changes.

All that being said, this is a combo video. It's meant more for flash than practicality (Although it can be used in a match too).

Seriously though, in real matches most of GC's kills come from low-to-the-ground tether confirms.

I'm talking about how he waits for the bot to be closer to the ground after a ground side square + square / triangle to grab him with air side square. He waits because from the default height you can't do any of these combos, and no one is going to wait inactive in the air, any good player will recover, air dodge or attack you so the safest thing you can do is jump and do the best thing you can do from square + square / triangle (ground side square combos), because they're totally granted, unlike the others.
Of course you can catch people in the air at a height in which you can chain side circle, down circle etc, but it's unlikely and totally dependent on the enemy, who can also spam air dodge and avoid being grabbed by tether. Like it or not, chances you're catching him in a place that allows you to do all these long combos are low.

Side circle is actually really really spammable. I personally do air side triangle>Side circle against opponents trying to get in on me very often since it shuts down most of their approaches.
If I recall correctly, air side triangle is a shock grenade, maybe you talk about down triangle? In that case yeah, it's the best way to stop rushing opponents in the ground.

It's also totally necessary in 2v2. And it's not one of Cole's least safe moves, that'd be ground down circle. You can't confirm from the most powerful version of it. You can try to level 1 someone after he's been knocked out to the other side of the stage, but I can tell you it won't work.
All that being said, this is a combo video. It's meant more for flash than practicality (Although it can be used in a match too).
That's what I said.

Level 1 kills that is.

I take it you don't know Good Cole very well? He has ridiculous hitstun on some of his moves. You cannot tech out of anything in that video. All of those are true combos.

Also, I catch people at that height in real tournament matches all the time. The only unlikely part is starting that many combos off of down square...

No, I was talking about the shock grenade. SH Shock grenade + Land freeze missile covers horizontal and diagonal approaches as well as stage control if they don't approach. If they are out of freeze missile range when you do your jump, this is a good option. Sure, they can just attack you and ignore the grenade, but then it's going to interrupt their combo and you can combo/kill off of the grenade so it actually still works in Cole's favor.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a foolproof anti-approach, but it is pretty strong if used intelligently.

You know down circle is the ice block right? That move is WAY WAY WAY more safe than down square. You are right though, I forget the shield exists, and that move is less safe than Down square, but yeah.

Also you actually can confirm off of the powerful version if you immediately jump>tether (I forget the specific timing since I eyeball it but essentially right when they reach the tip of level 1 height range. It's not hard to hit once you know where it is)>freeze missile>super. If you catch them a bit too high to super, just AP burst combo instead.

Yeah, of course level 1 kills, but I meant off of that confirm. There's a lot of other ones you can use.

EDIT: I apologize but I'm completely wrong about the charged down air square. I thought it worked because I managed to do it once on a slant. Hell, maybe even that was me doing air down square, a teammate hitting them then I confirmed. I don't remember but after testing it I can safely say I'm wrong on that.
