I think for the sequel it would be a nice idea to include Daxter and clank as seperate characters. Daxters got all his insane pest control gadgets and moves his supers could consist of "orange lightning" reigning down on everyone and also summon a precursor robot to do his bidding. Clank on the other hand is mothertrucking secret agent clank, havent played the game but im sure he has lots of cool moves and gadgets at his disposal.

it's one character. Your thread title is very misleading and hugely based upon assumption.
mm good point.

Everyone is assuming he is his own character because he's standing rather then being on Ratchets back. However even in some of the games cover art, he's not on Ratchets back. So no, Superbot is not having 2 from one IP, or at least Clank isn't separate from Ratchet.
Why make Daxter and Jak 1 character but split up Ratchet and Clank? Seems like a waste of time and resources to me. It's something I could see them doing for the 2nd installment of PSABR when they start hitting a few bumpy roads.

If there was two characters from the franchise, I prefer it as R&C and Captain Qwark. But since he cameos, it'd be better if they stayed as one character. Sly, Jak, and Ratchet as one.
Sly has his companions as his supers (Lvl. 1 & 3), Jak has his with him on his shoulder and Ratchet would have his on his back. Another game? Daxter as one, Clank as one, and for Sly series..... Bentley & Murray. But instead.....
You get Dimitri'd and get Dimitri instead of Sly's companions.
