I'm not giving them to much credit, it's just the most likely circumstance.

They even stated that they've had no trouble getting third party IPs because they know how much this means to the fans, and in every video they basically say you guys won't be dissapointed with the roster, or we have some huge suprises in the up coming weeks for reveals stay tuned, if they said that and didn't release Crash or Spyro they would be total idiots.

You seriously think that ANY 3rd party character has more than a 50% chance of getting in? Crash and Spyro are not exempt from that, there is as much of a chance of them getting them, as there is of them not getting em...they aren't guarunteed
