The only thing SuperBot needs to do to Dante is

Reduce the AP cost on his level 1
Give his square attack a higher priority against other characters and attacks.

Re: Buff Dante!

Hes good in 1v1, one of the best, but he doesnt have many (if any) AOE moves that can hit more than one enamy and rake in that AP
his combos are great, and if youre stuck in one, often hes gonna get alot of AP, but in FFA he can get interupted from behind

superbot said that he hits the AP burst the easiest with his combos, but in a FFA its very hard to do so

Lol why do you need to buff Dante? He has great range, easy AP hoarding combos and I believe he can combo into his level 1.

**bleep** it. Let's buff Raiden too.

He's ridiculously unsafe and has no good approaches?

Here's a fun question: What does a Dante player do against someone who literally just holds L1 all day? Nothing is safe on block to my knowledge, his grabs don't lead into anything (Again to my knowledge), and his ranged moves are only good if you're already comboing the opponent.

I mean really, would it break him to let him bold cancel when he hits a blocking opponent?
Hmmm... actually would that be too much? Seems like that would make him go from really unsafe to one of the safest characters in the game with constant pressure. Ummm... **bleep**. How the **bleep** do you fix this character?

Dante's combo into lv 1 is extreemly hard to pull off, especially in the middle of a match. and what range he has is really only useful in 1v1 where theres nobody to interupt your combos

I've recently picked up dante after playing the dmc demo, but my issue is everyone that blocks everything! It leaves you unbelievable wide open!

Yeah the problem isn't his combos, it's how unbelievably unsafe he is on everything.

Its the 'ease of use' deal. He's unsafe on a lot of his melee attacks; that's why you empty cancel into a dash to go past them before they can attack.

The blocking problem isn't specifically Dante. It's just that PSABR favors defensive play. And I was refering to 1v1 or 2v2, not FFA with items and map hazards on.

I would like to add to my post that Dante should be able to empty cancel even when his moves don't connect.
He's so slow.

While that is true, most characters have at least one of the following:
-Ways to force you out of those defensive positions (Grab combos)
-Ways to pressure block with moves that are safe on block
-Ways to build meter on your block (Most projectiles still give 5-10 AP on block).

The problem is that Dante doesn't really have any of these (I don't think his guns give AP on block do they? Then again, even if they do it doesn't matter if you can't cancel them on a blocking opponent since they have quite a bit ending lag on them.).
