To be fair, some of these changes destroy decent strategies. If he got a buff, nerf the FBC. In exchange, make him a bit less punishable, make down trianglehave hitstun, possibly up triangle, and then Dante's golden. The dash being invincible would make it to easy to land a combo and would screw up other combos. It's fine as a link and an approach.

Btw, claiming you are 999 with Dante means nothing other than you play with the character a lot. It does not indicate your skill level with a character at all. No offense. Not saying you aren't a good player (I honestly don't know), I'm just saying it doesn't show how good you are with a character.


I agree, he has a very steep learning curve. out of the characters i use, he's the one ive ever actually gone to the practice mode with. discovered a 130 ap combo by myself doing that

Honestly, the only thing I can think that he would need would be a safer poke and/or another combo starter. Then again I don't know a whole lot about Dante.

I wish his guns were not just part of cancelling, but Dante is a good character overall. I have been using him a ton lately and love him to bits.

Wouldn't the guns be very spammable if opponents could flinche from the shots? How bout make it so they only cause flinching if your using the guns in a combo? That way opponents do flinche but spammers can't take advantage of it

i'd say theres enough time between shots to make it evadeable. however, the up and down shots DEFINITELY need stun. they are completely useless as it is, other than to use in very specific cancels. plus, if drakes ak stuns, why not dante's?

It's really just the down one that needs stuns, possibly the up one. Neutral and forward triangle are both decent ways to either combo or bait in an opponent.
