Big Daddy is Top Tier

If you invest some time into Big Daddy, he can be any character's opposition. Combine the combos, block breakers, super armor attacks, AoE attacks, and an almost undodgable kill confirm, he can dominate the playing field.

I agree with you that he can be very good, but one big flaw is that hes huge. He is so easy to hit with supers

Ive run into a few great BD's online but they are still easy to kill, if u catch him off guard he definitely pays for it.

He's not bad at all, but top tier? Maybe in 2v2 but not in any other mode.

-He has no safe on block moves, meaning EC destroys him.
-Sweet Tooth outranges him with moves that beat all our super armor moves.
-We're so big that some characters that usually have trouble confirming their level 1 can now confirm into an easy kill (Sackboy, Dan, Jak etc.)

He's really not a bad character, but he's not top tier either. His good matchups are amazing, most of his other ones are close to even, but his bad matchups... oh god his bad matchups are horrendous...
Big Daddy is a great character but pretty much has to be used with a secondary in every mode but 2v2.

top tier.... lol

Big daddy like any character can be incredibly usefull but only assuming the people you are playing against are not onto you.

But IMO here is what is wrong with him.

1. His charges are beaten by most other moves, charging into a group of enemies will usually be countered by a player on the far side attacking the one uve charged at. You are then thrown off and have to start again (unless you open with stun or hyperarmor Square)

2. He is easy to hit with supers. Even when I win I often die the most.

3. His level 1 requires impossible timing, the only use I have for it is when people are used to my charging tactic and I spontaneously chuck a little sister at them. (planning a hit will almost always result in failure.

4. His level 2 is somewhat easy to dodge, with the right character. (although raidens is easier). Alot of people arent aware of his neutral O attack or fail to dodge after respawn because they think their safe, this helps me rack up sometimes 5 kills in FFA. A similar situation exists with raidens area stun, people will get wise eventually.

5. His groundpound, one of his major AP building moves is easily punishable. Cancelling takes time. So often I will give a lucky kratos or sly 3 kills because they avoid it in an FFA.

Have a read of this: - He needs fixing

Ya, I do really well with Big D in 2v2. Like, REALLY well. FFA though? Awful. Like said above, he gets caught in combos and interrupted during his too easily.

No, BD is not the worst character in the game, and TBH most of your points are invalid.

-Holding down the triangle button gives more armor.

-You can combo into both level 1 and level 2. Level 2 allows you to start with one kill then wait for them to respawn and attempt at a second kill.

-Ground pound builds AP well, yes, but it shouldn't be your go-to AP builder considering it doesn't start combos. However you can put it into AP burst combos, and it is great for tech chasing. Also, if you cancel it before the last hit you can actually grab the opponent as they come out of block-stun, so no it's not actually that punishable.
