Sackboy is this game's ultimate support character. In addition to what Shanker said, I'll list the Fan as a separate point entirely. That fan is able to make pretty much every character's Super gain an entire map's length of range.

I've noted this before on the Vets Forum, but I believe Sackboy + Dan will be amazing because of Sackboy's ability to use the fan to speed up Dan. It's essentially like throwing a tank at you at 50MPH

It's one of the few moves that's not straight from an actual game, and one of the best.  The fan literally affects every...anything in the game, according to SuperBot.  I think the only exception might be Mecha Tooth, but even then I have no proof to back that claim up, it's just a hunch.
