Any Sackboy advice?

I've been trying to learn how to use Sackboy, but I'm having a bit of trouble with him. I can't win a match without his level 3 but I end up feeling bad because it feels like a cheap victory. Any advice would appreciated.

I'm not a Sackboy person but, I do play as him somewhat so, just curious what's your strategy other than the lvl 3?

Re: Any Sackboy advice?

One thing sackboy benefits greatly with (in spite of his recent nerf) is his use of traps. They are great. Put down an epectric floor here, throw a cake there, plant a fan, throw some goop, and getting down to busijess and baiting your enemies there are one effective way to run him. The fan can blow drake's barrel and deter some enemy projectiles. Down square (cusion block?) is AWESOME. Also, whatever char you intend on using, be sure to check their tutorials for some cool combos you may not uave figured out.

I got some supplemental skills to Nariko's arsenal from the tutorials. Aside from the ones I normally use. And then the chain gets better when I add what I learned.

this is me helping

Re: Any Sackboy advice?

Don't spam, with the patch it makes it really hard and sackboy has some awesome combos up close and personal that really can get your ap up but this is very important:

Use the pop it respawn thing. Its saved my life from supers or combos a hundred times over. That's your best friend :smileyhappy:

And try to utilized all of his gadgets as in every situation there really good and makes it hard for a character to touch you:smileyhappy:

I usually just stick with his level 1 and 2, I only used his level 3 twice in a ranked battle.

Re: Any Sackboy advice?

No what I mean is do you place a lot of traps and stuff? I was basically going to say what RikkiRoss said, Sackboy is definatly tricky so good job to the people at SuperBot on that

Re: Any Sackboy advice?

I place an electric panel in the air above a group of people when there in the middle of fighting. Who ever gets hit by the panel is who I attack. I also usually go to a corner, place a fan, and shoot either jelly or cake. Lastly, I use the jetpack when somebody is about to attack me.

Re: Any Sackboy advice?

If it helps pal because I am a sackboy main I have the official strategy guide and it says he's a character to pick of others so getting them on there own is better
