we got 2 days left,
i remember people posting that they're dissapointed in the game,
mostly their reasoning is for the apparently lackluster roster,
do you guys have any games you were ever dissapointed by?
i have 2 particular ones,
1. Spore
now don't get me wrong, i still love it, not the best, but really enjoyable,
but this was the first game that i started to follow,
i've bought magazines that had spore in it, just to see if it had any sort of news about it,
the end result, was totally fun, but then i started to think,
you know, about the game, in depth,
and i realized how very different the final build compared to the early ones,
one example that struck out for me was this:
during the tribal stage, the early build made it felt like it really was a god-game,
where you drop down some tools, and they'd interact with it,
for instance, if you drop down a drum set, they'll start playing it,
if you drop down a weapon rack, they'll arm themselves,
and what you drop down determines how they play,
are they peaceful, or warlike?
in the final build, it was a simplified RTS,
made me sad just thinking about it,
i dunno why it was changed,
will wright has admitted that he was responsible for the change, and even he thought it was dissapointing...
2. Dragon Age 2
now this, is just, wow
now for games like this, i'd play for the story most of the time,
but they changed the core gameplay from 1 to 2,
and the change was so drastic, i only finished the game once,
which is crazy, 'cause i finished the first game like 3 times, with one playthrough being at least 40 hours,
i didn't just go in blind,
i half-heartedly followed this game,
and i also downloaded the demo on the ps3,
i thought "hm, it's different, but it's fine, i'll get through it"
so i bought the game, and after i finished it, nothing made me want to come back to the game,
not the story, not the trophies, and especially not the gameplay,
in the end, it just wasn't fun at all,
and to me, if a game isn't fun, then it's not a good game.
tl;dr my 2 dissapointing games are Spoe and Dragon Age 2...

Im to tired to go into deatails Ill just list the name of the games.
1. Cross Edge
2. Bullet Storm
3. PlayStation Move Heroes(sorta).
4. Final Fantasy XIII(I couldn't beat it)
5. Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier(although the game does have some pro's but a very few only).
6. Dragon Ball Z HD Budokai Collection(Only because of the lack of the original OST being taken away due to copyright).

ah yeah, J&D The Lost Frontier,
i gotta tell ya,
after not playing 2 & 3, but played Daxter,
jumping straight to The Lost Frontier was so weird,
i couldn't finish it...
Oh my?!
What have you done? With a game series like Jak and Daxter you cannot skip around lol. Its a heavy character development and complex story based series. If you start Jak it must be with the first game. If you start Jak II first you wont get get any of the 3 games and vise versia to the other games as well, even Jak X.

Games I was disappointed by...that requires a bit of thought. I usually follow games I'm interested in so I know for sure what I'm buying and I rarely have that problem.
I will say that I was genuinely hurt by Burnout Paradise and L.A. Rush. I grew up on both series, with Burnout for the PS2 (BO 2, 3, and Revenge) and Rush (San Francisco Rush and 2049 for the N64) and both severely disappointed me. I used to be a huge fan of racing games and both series were staples for me, but their most recent iterations just fell short. I think the transition to open world racing for both and the focus on real cars for Rush is what did it for me. Oddly enough, there was really not many other ways for either series to evolve so I suppose they were meant to die.
Oh, all DBZ games after Tenkaichi 3 and infinite world were intense disappointments. Nobody can tell me otherwise.
Thats not fully true. Raging Blast 2 was one of the best. It competed with the older games. It even got praised as a true Dbz game but Ultimate Tenkaichi tried to go back to Budokai and Tenkaichi which was a nice try but they didnt give themselves enough time. However I still like all the games.
