A small qualm with the character select...

11 replies 797 views Edited Nov 18, 2012

When watching videos of the game, I noticed something:  in the character select screen, your character's appearance changes based on which costume you've chosen, but not the color.  Often times I wouldn't know which color someone chose until the match started.

Does anyone else think you should be able to see the costume AND color on your character before you start fighting?  Maybe I'm just used to Smash where you can.

in the IGN live stream I could of sworn color changes showed up in the select screen... Could be wrong, but I believe it does tell you the colors.

I 100% agree.

I want to see a color and costume preview. Not just one or the other.

And while the circle is somewhat nice in that it shows the 2 main colors you'll be using, it would be so much better if you could see a color preview, much like smash bros versus street fighter.

it has a circle thing that changes colors, but it does not show the character actuall changing on the screen

Ah, now that makes a bit more sense.  I feel a tad better about it now that I understand how the circle thing works.  I thought it simply had the number inside it that denoted "color 1," "color 2," etc., but I see it's just for costumes.  But it's cool that you at least somewhat know the color you're picking.

As Zezzler said, a full preview would still be nice, though. Smiley Tongue

I thought this was going to be a petty complaint, but this is actually pretty valid. I definitely agree with you on this.

Its a problem until you know the colors. They should have made the icons dynamic.
