That would defeat the purpose of it being a super attack.  Unless you dodge, you are supposed to die.  I say just get rid of these hit confirms and make it more about planning and anticipation versus using a guaranteed combo that everyone will use.

but getting rid of the confirms all together eliminates a lot if not all of the combos for characters...i know with both Coles i depend on the confirms to follow up on attacks to build AP

Your idea is good and all....but ultimately unnecessary. All they have to do is make it so you can't kill confirm off of grabs (like Raiden and E. Cole can) or at least make the grab checking waaaay better than it is now, and the community needs to learn to block more. When they and WE do this, kill confirms won't be an issue at all at high level play. It'll only be cruel to noobs.

That idea isn't good AT ALL.

Not to be mean, but what you would be doing is unbalancing the game to such an extreme, it would be unplayable.
