I don't like to ignore invites becuase it might appear as being rude to people, especially if I ignore people from these forums.
I don't know why Sony haven't added this feature yet, since it is a popular request. But since the PS4 is more "Social", ignoring and hiding from people may be a step away from this.
it needs to be done....I don't like being ignorant to good friends when they see I'm on but I don't feel like talking or playing with them
Sony's neglect of this feature and numerous other common features is keeping me from buying a PS4. I cannot simply disconnect from the internet or sign out because I still want to play online. I am not gonna create another account and lose all my trophies just because Sony cannot implement simple features. Some of us have friends in real life who will be annoyed if we don't answer their messages/invites when we are online.
This ones on you Sony, if you dont create this feature, im not buying a PS4.
If there are 15,000 people that viewed this thread wondering where this feature is, I think it should be addressed.
I probably would not use this feature but I could see why some people may want to use it. It does not seem that difficult to do, appear offline, I would think they would have that as an option, but apparantly they do not.
I would trade all of the non-gaming apps and features for simple things like this that can directly effect gaming experience. Not wanting to be disturbed or risk offending when not feeling social (or multiple potential other reasons).
Xbox has had this as far back as I can remember. It's a no-brainer... Like a phone without a redial option. Sure I can just "dial the number again".
You can keep the Netflix, Twitch, etc, etc... Don't care about custom themes (I don't spend a lot of time staring at my background personally) or 90% of the stuff people are clammoring for...
None of which has any effect on my gaming. This would.
