I only want answers from people who actually know. No guessing.
Ive recently changed my setup in my room, and it seems the only place i can put my PS3 now is on top of a speaker (unless i spend more money on a longer HDMI cable.), Just wanna know if the magnets in the speaker will damage my PS3.
Ive heard mixed opinions about magnets ruining hard drives, Which seems to be the only worry.
But noone knows for sure.

The speaker magnets won't affect your HDD. The drive is shielded from EMI. What I would worry about is your PS3 falling off the speaker or the vibrations from the speaker vibrating components loose inside the PS3.

Okay, thanks. And yeah, i googled it, but its an old stereo, Not much info on it online.
And is the ps3 that weak that itll stop working from vibration? Its not bad vibration, If there is any really at all.

Well all electronics are fragile to some degree. Constant vibration and shaking could, technically, shake something loose. But if you are saying the vibration is minimal or non-existent, I wouldn't worry about it. It cannot be any worse than having it in an entertainment center with a subwoofer right behind it, like I do.
